When connecting fittings to valves, tighten as indicated below.1) M3, M5 types1. When using SMC fitting, follow the guidelines below. Aftertightening by hand, tighten an additional 1/4 (M3), 1/6 (M5) turnwith a tightening tool. However, if miniature fittings are used,tighten an additional 1/4 turn with a tightening tool aftertightening by hand. For fittings with gaskets with gaskets in 2locations, e.g., universal elbow or universal tee, tighten anadditional 1/2 turn.Note) If fittings are over-tightened, air leakage may result due tobreaking of fitting threads or deformation of the gaskets.However, if fittings are not tightened sufficiently, loosening ofthe threads and air leakage and may occur. 2.
